Cuvee: 42% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier, and 8% is from an almost half-century old Pinot Noir wine solera! The palate shows flavors of wild strawberries, with hints of red and black currants, vanilla, and spice. Fresh and full-bodied, with fine tannins and elegant fruits. An excellent aperitif, yet pairs well with finely sliced Bellota ham, smoked salmon, chicken and spring vegetable samosas, grilled red mullet, assorted cheeses, and red berry fruit zabaglione. 94 "This has a pale copper color with gingerbread, Danish, spiced apple, crushed rock and pink grapefruit aromas. Some truffles and pink salt, too. It’s tight, focused and spicy, with salty undertones and very fine bubbles. Majority chardonnay with pinot noir and pinot meunier from 2017, blended with 45% reserve wines and 8% red wine from a 45-year-old solera." – James Suckling
