Distillers Corporation Limited, Double Eagle Pure Rye Canadian Whiskey

This whiskey was packaged in a tin and still has the original key attached to the top for opening. Tin containers made it easier to smuggle and hide liquor during the prohibition. The contents were to be decanted. It was not entirely uncommon at the time to have gins and whiskies canned at the time but they are very rare to find today, especially in such fine condition. This tin is in excellent condition. "Bottled" between 1924 and 1933.
