Description
5 to 10 year-aged Armagnac: aged for 1 year in new oak then finished in used 420 liter casks. 50% Ugni Blanc, 50% Colombard. Run by Martine Lafitte of the esteemed Lafitte family. Family owned since 1807. Press: VINOUS MEDIA Score: 94 "A blend of brandies aged five to ten years, Domaine Boingnères Reserve Speciale is made from Folle Blanche, Ugni Blanc, and Colombard, and bottled at cask strength. A great example of how Armagnac doesn’t always mean dried fruit and sweet oak. Pure minerality and racy acidity take the lead here, with fresh fruit on the wonderfully long finish."
