J. Rieger's Kansas City Whiskey 750 ML

Kansas City Whiskey is a blend of Straight Bourbon, Light Corn, and Straight Rye Whiskeys, all aged at least 4 years, as well as a small amount of 15-year-old Oloroso Sherry from the Williams & Humbert Bodega in Jerez. Bottled at 92 proof, Kansas City Whiskey is well-balanced, smooth, and slightly sweet. Beautiful served neat or on the rocks, and outstanding in classic Bourbon- and Rye-based cocktails such as the Horsefeather, Manhattan and Old Fashioned. On the nose, the first thing to hit is the sherry: rich, sweet, caramel and butterscotch scents are followed by a corn whiskey backbone. Sweet corn whiskey on the palate gives way to a touch of sweetness from the sherry – reminiscent of dried fruits, almonds, and bitter chocolate. The finish shows a heavy dose of robust spiciness from the Rye. At 92 proof the alcohol provides a foil for the slight sweetness from the sherry, bring fine balance to this whiskey.
